The website, provides services including but not limited to digital obituaries and life remembrance memorials.

Enlighten Memorial, LLC is committed to protecting users’ privacy and addressing potential privacy concerns. The following information has been posted to help you, the consumer, understand what private information we collect and how your information will and will not be used.


The Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by us in our business, including our websites, mobile applications, and other online or offline offerings.

The personal information that we collect depends on whether you are a creator (individual that creates an account), loved one (person for whom a memorial pages/obituary is created for), visitor (individual who accesses our services/website without an account) and/or contributors (individual who accesses our services without an account but contributes to a memorial).  We may collect the following personal information from/for our creators, loved ones, visitors and/or contributors.

  • Birthdate
  • Place of Birth

  • Date of Passing (if applicable)
  • Memorial Service Details
  • Payment/Billing Information

  • Social Media Links/Content
  • Photographs, Video, Shared Memories


You can always choose to provide less information. However, omitting some of this personal information may limit your ability to access all of the benefits of our website and services. For example, we will not be able to process transactions without payment information and a billing address, or complete an obituary or lifetime memorial without your loved one’s personal information.

Automatically collected information

We automatically collect data on creators, loved ones, visitors and contributors that visit, such as your IP address, location, browser language, operating system, device identifiers, cookies, pages you viewed, how long you spent on a page, access times and information about your use of and actions on our Site.

Social media information

If you’ve linked your Enlighten Memorial account with a social media account, we also collect information that social media networks & platforms give us. Depending on the social media network, this can include your username, name, email address, friends list, and more. In addition, we collect demographics data when users interact with Enlighten Memorial social media accounts.

Policy on collecting sensitive personal information

Enlighten Memorial does not gather any of your personal sensitive information, such as your social security numbers, driver’s license number, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, health metrics, political associations, or details on criminal backgrounds.   • Activating the Memorials and Obituaries for loved ones
  • Renewing Memorials and Obituaries for loved ones
  • Fulfilling customer service requests 
  • Communicating our sales and promotions

  • Contacting you for account problems/concerns
  • Making all of Enlighten Memorial’s services available to you in a convenient manner
  • Providing advertisements that are relevant to you as your visit
  • Evaluating analytics to see how our customers engage with and any company affiliated APP
  • Providing or forwarding your information to digital memorial owners/administrators for content approvals
  • Mailing Cards of condolence/sympathy


Length of time personal information is stored

We may store your personal information for an extended period of time, depending on how we need to use the information. For example, we’ll keep your email address and name on file as long as you have an account with us, regardless of the status of that account(s). In addition, we may need to keep your billing and payment information on file for an extended period of time for auto-renewals or for ease of use and transactional purposes when purchasing additional packages or products and services.
